Did you know there are approximately 7,000 beekeepers in Canada?  And of the 600,000 colonies of honeybees approximately 475,000 are located in the prairies.  The top three honey producing provinces in Canada are; Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba and they produce about 80% of Canada’s honey crop.

Golden Acres Honey is located in Three Hills, Alberta

They sell Clover/Alfalfa honey in a variety of formats, creamed, natural, raw, organic, and buckwheat honey.  All their honey is Kosher.

One of their premier brands is, McKenzie’s Natural Honey.  They also carry the Alpha brand in addition to Golden Acres Honey.

Now that is something I didn't know. With honey being so idiotically expense in the stores on PEI, I can only purchase small quantities of it but I like baking and cooking with it.

Yes, honey can be expensive, but it is nice to cook and bake with. Also honey taken directly from the hive without heating or filtering contains naturally occurring pollens, enzymes and yeasts that are beneficial.
